Hire terms

Hire terms and conditions

Draft wording. The final terms are with Ayliesh and Craig for confirmation and replace everything below before the site goes live.

1. Making a booking

A booking is confirmed once it has been paid for online and you have received a confirmation email. Until then, items are not held. Prices, availability and delivery charges are all shown in the store at the time of booking.

2. Payment

Payment is made in full at the time of booking through the online store, and your invoice is issued automatically.

3. Hire period

Standard hire is 24 hours. Bookings that fall over a weekend are treated as a single hire period. Longer hire periods are available, so add the extra days in the store or get in touch.

4. Delivery and collection

Delivery and collection are charged on your suburb and calculated at checkout. Someone over 18 needs to be there to receive the delivery and at collection. Let us know at the time of booking if there are stairs, a steep driveway, soft sand or a long carry, so we can plan for it.

5. Setup and pack down

Delivery includes dropping the items to the agreed spot. At collection, items need to be back where they were delivered, clean and packed the way they arrived.

6. Damage, loss and bonds

Normal wear and tear is expected and not charged. Damage beyond that, or items not returned, are charged at the cost of repair or replacement. Wine barrels are not to be moved once positioned, drilled into, painted, stickered or used as a fire pit, and candles on barrels must be enclosed.

7. Changes and cancellations

Add items to an existing booking any time, subject to availability. Cancellation and date change windows are set out in the confirmed terms.

8. Weather

Our items are hired for outdoor use but they are not all weather. Festoon lighting and anything electrical must not be used in the rain, and lightweight items need to be secured in strong wind. If the forecast is looking poor, talk to us early and we will try to help you work something out.

9. Safety and responsibility

Once items are delivered they are your responsibility until we collect them. Items are to be used for their intended purpose, on level ground, and kept away from pools, fire and open flame. Electrical items are tested and tagged and must not be modified. Please supervise children around barrels, stools and lighting.

10. Site access and permits

Where your event is at a venue, park or public space, you are responsible for any permits, venue approvals and bump in and bump out times. Let us know these at the time of booking.

11. Privacy

Your details are used only to manage your booking and are not shared with anyone else.
